Who we are

Our Story

Historia Building Restoration is an award-winning architectural building restoration company located in The City of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. We have been proudly serving the Hamilton, Toronto, Golden Horseshoe area for the past thirty years.

With a driven commitment to conserve and painstakingly restore the craftsmanship in our built heritage, Historia’s labour force consists of the highest skilled trades ranging from stone masons and brick layers to finished carpenters and painters. All of Historia Building Restoration’s manpower are signatory to the Operative Plasters, Restoration Steeplejacks, Cement Masons Local Union 598.

Well versed in all the latest construction project software technologies, Historia’s administrative staff consists of Project Administrators, skilled Estimators, trained Project Managers, Account Professionals and our own dedicated Health & Safety representatives. Our projects are administered through our own special brand of software known as Historia Advanced.

Historia Building Restoration is a long term, active member of local organizations such as the Hamilton-Halton Construction Association and the Toronto Construction Association. Also, a graduated member of the HHCA/WSIB Safety Group, Historia Building Restoration is a repeat recipient of Hamilton-Halton Construction Association/WSIB Health and Safety Award.

Founded by Jeff Feswick and situated in the city where he lives, works and plays, Historia Building Restoration’s respect for its community is evident through its support of many arts and community groups over the years, from Theatre Aquarius through support of the Good Shepherd and Wesley’s homelessness initiatives.

Historia’s committed team of restoration experts are passing on their knowledge to the next generation of apprentices. They do this through on the job mentorship and through the newly formed Historia School of Restoration.

Historia approaches each project in a professional manner and realizes the importance of completing projects on time and on budget. Its reputation for 30 years is rooted on supplying the highest customer service and quality workmanship in the industry. Historia Building Restoration has lovingly restored many of Hamilton and region’s finest heritage buildings, demonstrating its commitment to a collective built heritage all throughout Southern Ontario.

Community Service

Since its inception in 1998, community has been a fundamental aspect of Historia Building Restoration’s approach to business. Our firm’s actively lends support to those less fortunate, promotes mentorship, and is a proud patron of the arts.  Past recipients of our corporate philanthropy include Good Shepherd, Theatre Aquarius and Wesley’s Urban Ministries.

 

 

School of Restoration

Through our newly formed Historia School of Restoration, our goal is to have our seasoned staff of restoration craftsmen pass on their knowledge and skill to the next generation of apprentices. Historia’s committed team of restoration experts naturally pass on their knowledge to their apprentices while training on the job as well as through the newly formed Historia School of Restoration.

Health & Safety

No area of oversight is more important to Historia Building Restoration than Health and Safety. Our dedicated H&S department, headed by our fully trained H&S coordinator, ensures our team is certified to meet and exceed all MOL requirements. All jobsites are audited daily to conform to top industry and ministry standards from start to completion.
